Juevenile

She may be guilty, She may not. Our job is to ensure her rights are met, she understands what is happening and she is treated fairly and justly.

Our team of experienced Appropriate Adults work to ensure that the rights of vulnerable individuals who are in Police Custody are carefully explained and are met.

Appropriate Adult Services Wales currently cover the South Wales, Gwent and Newport Police authority areas. We work closely with Police Officers and solicitors as an independent party to ensure the most professional service possible.

We pride ourselves on working to; and often exceeding best practice guidelines set out by the National Appropriate Adult Network.

We endeavor to attend a Police Station within 2 hours of referral, ensuring the most efficient service possible for both the Police and detained person.

Our Appropriate Adults all have a great deal of experience and expertise in working with juveniles, vulnerable adults and mentally disordered individuals. Thus helping to eliminate unnecessary delays while detainee's in custody are awaiting interview, relieving stress on detainee's and allowing a smooth and fair interview process / custody period.

All of our Appropriate adults are fully trained in PACE (The Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984), as well as all current amendments to this act.

Above all AASWales is a professional body of people who pride themselves in providing an effective Appropriate Adult Service.

If you have any questions about our services and wish to know more, please Contact Us.
